CH1ChesterBID Sous Chef Finalists

West Cheshire College played host to the semi-final of the CH1ChesterBID Sous Chef Challenge as top chefs from across Chester city centre battled it out to reach the final stage of the competition. Chefs from a range of bars and restaurants were competing for one of four places to cook in the final at the Festival on Sunday.

Taste Cheshire Winners 2016

Almost 400 people packed in to the Pavilion at Chester Racecourse to find out the winners of the 2016 Taste Cheshire Awards on the 30th March. Over 30,000 votes were cast by the public and the final four nominations in each category were mystery dined/shopped by industry experts to award Gold Silver and Bronze in each category

Sausage Finalists Revealed

After more than four hours of tasting sausages from 20 different butchers from across Cheshire and North Wales judges have revealed their finalists for the NoWFOOD, Chester Food and Drink Festival Sausage Competition. Sausages were judged on their appearance, texture and finally taste with marks awarded by all the judges.

Simon Rimmer headlines Chester

Simon Rimmer, star of Sunday brunch returns to Chester in 2016 as our headline chef. Simon will be appearing on Saturday on our main stage and as always he will play to packed audiences so make sure you get in early!

Chester MasterChef

We are excited and proud to announce that we have again secured MasterChef presenter Gregg Wallace for 2016. This is major recognition for Chester as one of the country’s flagship Food and Drink events and we are thrilled to have Gregg coming to Chester. He will again judge our Sous Chef challenge on the main stage on Sunday

Free Childrens Cooking Classes

The Academy of Culinary Arts team have provided free cooking classes for the children who have come to the Chester Food Drink & Lifestyle Festival. All ages love understanding flavours, tastes and cooking techniques and even difficult eaters enjoy preparing their own foods - book a class for your child to ensure you get a place.
